Great sounding pedal . I use it along with a tube screamer and a king of tone . Works good with fuzz too .
I saw the advertisement on face book and decided to check it out. I ordered it and immediately received tracking information, and got it within a couple days. It arrived very well packaged and included a: pick, decal, 4 rubber pads, official pin and an ID card.. I connected it to my pedal chain using a 9 volt power supply and began experimenting with it. I found you can achieve silky smooth lows and screaming highs very easily, it's a very versatile and useful unit, which sounds great and is easy to use, I guess those aliens know what their doing!
I've been playing guitar over 50 years and use a variety of Fender and Gibson guitars live. I ordered the Octonaut hoping it would give me more options with my drive pedals. It did that out of the box mounted between my clean boost and drive pedals. The first day I was using it mostly to give an extra bump to my drive pedals but after using it a few days I found it has a lot more options. Basically turning down the drive and using it to enhance my clean sound works very well. After a couple of sessions I found myself leaving it on with all settings at 12 noon and using my boost or drive pedals to enhance it. It does a great job keeping an even mix when switching between clean and drive channels. I was hoping it would breath some new life into my pedal board - it did that out of the box! - but it is more than that ... very touch sensitive and tracks great with aggressive picking. I'm using a Mesa Lonestar classic with vintage 30s both known for having heavy mids and lows. This pedal balanced out the tone without losing the low mids giving my Tele and Strat a new life. I play a variety of styles and I am very happy with its versatility. I have boxes of Fx pedals but this one is a keeper!!
I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. Awesome tone!!
